Mike Whiitaker - Director of Soccer
Mike Whittaker is a USSF “A” Licensed coach with over 20 years of experience developing top-level teams and players. His coaching achievements include leading the 2019 GU13 squad to a USYS National Championship and mentoring numerous athletes who have gone on to play at top Division 1 programs. As the Director of Soccer, Mike is committed to fostering a culture of growth, competitiveness, and love for the game, ensuring players at every level receive the guidance needed to excel. Beyond soccer, he loves supporting his kids’ performances in theatre and sports.
Fun fact—did you know sea otters hold hands while sleeping to keep from drifting apart? It’s called rafting!
Davor Gazivoda - Director of Recreational
Davor has been an integral part of Legends FC San Diego for seven years, leading the Recreational program for the past three. Originally from Serbia, he played at top youth clubs before earning a soccer scholarship to Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management. Holding a USSF “B” National License, Davor is passionate about creating an environment where young players can develop a love for the game through structured development and the right level of challenge.

Emma Greenwood - Girls ECNL Director
Originally from Sheffield, England, Emma is entering her fourth year with Legends FC San Diego. She holds a USSF “A” License and brings a wealth of experience from her time as the Technical Director for the Alabama State Association, where she led programs such as ODP, Elite Player Development, and TOPSoccer. She has also coached at Homewood Soccer Club and the University of Montevallo, her alma mater. A former US Youth Soccer Region III and Alabama Soccer Association Coach of the Year, Emma believes soccer is a powerful tool for growth, friendships, and lifelong skills, and she is passionate about guiding players on their soccer journeys.
Duarte Andrade - Director of COMPETITIVE Teams
Duarte has been a dedicated coach with Sharks/Legends FC since 2013, earning multiple accolades, including two Sharks Competitive Coach of the Year awards. His coaching success includes leading teams to a 2020 CalSouth State Cup Presidents Championship and deep runs in international and national competitions. Duarte also serves as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for both the men’s and women’s programs at Point Loma Nazarene University, where he helped guide the women’s team to the 2023 NCAA D2 National Championship and multiple PacWest titles. With additional coaching experience at San Diego Mesa College, San Diego City College, and Point Loma High School, Duarte is committed to developing players both on and off the field. Holding a US Soccer National “C” License and specialized goalkeeper and futsal diplomas, he focuses on teaching accountability, teamwork, and personal growth.
Fun fact—he holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Portugal!
Noah Kooiman - GIrls ECRL Director
Noah brings over 30 years of coaching experience, including 12 years at the collegiate level, and holds a USSF National “C” License. As the Girls Director at Legends FC San Diego, he is committed to player development, team strategy, and guiding athletes to the next level. His coaching career includes leading teams to NCAA tournament appearances, winning a CCAA South Division title, and earning multiple Coach of the Year awards. A former professional player with LA Cobras and LA Salsa, Noah’s passion for the game extends beyond the field.
Fun Fact — Noah regularly takes teams to Europe for an immersive soccer experience.
Sean Willaims - Girls Pre-ECNL Director
Sean brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Legends FC San Diego. A former player for San Diego Zest (USL League 2) and Point Loma Nazarene University (NCAA D2), he has transitioned into coaching at both the collegiate and club levels. Currently pursuing his USSF “B” License, Sean serves as the Goalkeeper Coach at San Diego State University and previously held the same role at the University of San Diego. Since 2018, he has been a key figure in player development as a head coach with DMCV Sharks and Legends FCSD. Passionate about shaping athletes on and off the field, Sean is committed to fostering both skill and character in his players.

Cris LEwis - Director of Programming & Elite Girls Goalkeeping
Cris Lewis serves as the Director of Programming & Elite Girls Goalkeeping bringing a wealth of experience & a winning mentality to the Legends FC SD Del Mar staff. Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Cris is a proud alumna of Portland State University, where she left a mark on the soccer program. During her collegiate career, she emerged as a defensive powerhouse, earning accolades such as Big Sky Defensive MVP in 2009.
Cris’ coaching journey has spanned youth, high school, & collegiate programs, where she has consistently nurtured talent & Instilled a winning mentality In her players for 15 years. She uses the game as a vehicle to help players learn, grow, and perform. I strive to create a healthy environment which provides players the opportunities for physical and mental enrichment both on and off the field.
Fun Fact—She was reserve goalkeeper for the NWSL’s Portland Thorns and made my first professional start on June 1, 2013!
Rowan Adams - Director of Boys ECNL-RL
With nearly 30 years of experience in coaching and sports leadership, Rowan has dedicated his career to developing young athletes and shaping soccer programs. He has served as a head coach for schoolboy teams at King’s College and U12-U17 teams at Three Kings United FC (now Auckland United), as well as working with tournament teams for Auckland Football and regional talent centers with New Zealand Football. Holding a NZ Football National Academy Coaching Licence and English FA Youth Award Modules 1 and 2, he is passionate about guiding players to reach their full potential, both on and off the field. Rowan has coached players who have gone on to play professionally, represent their countries, and compete in World Cups. His love for the game continues to grow as he inspires athletes, builds relationships, and embraces new challenges every day.
Fun Fact—Originally from New Zealand, he once raced go-karts but now navigates American freeways.
